Olweus All School Assembly

Today several children helped to reinforce the lessons, vocabulary and definitions from our Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.  Several third graders provided students with the meaning of the words we use at school to define certain roles children play in various social situations.  We reinforced the concept that a one time event or action does not constitute bullying behavior.  Bullying behavior is repeated, intentional and involves a power imbalance of some type.  We did role playing as well and the children loved counting one, two, three and then saying, "ACTION" before each scene.  We made a pledge to follow our bullying prevention rules and enjoyed some great entertainment from our own students as well!
