Student Council

In our EarlyAct club (student council) this week, our third-graders were very busy doing a multitude of projects. We started our meeting with a pound of the gavel and "happy quarters" where children can donate a quarter and share a happy thought with their peers. After that we split up into three groups to do various projects. One group worked on beautiful flyers that we will distribute around our community inviting veterans to our assembly on November 7 at 9:15 AM. Another group worked with Gregg Lindsay, a school committee member in a focus group to discuss school lunches and ways that we can improve them. The third group worked with the green committee to brainstorm different things that we throw away. Then we created a task force that will be collecting data on our trash collected throughout one week so we can figure out how to better to sort items in our school for recycling or even composting that will benefit the earth. What great projects we have going on!
