WACKY WEDNESDAY!
To continue our month long Seuss celebration, children should wear their wackiest wardrobe selections on Wednesday!
Helen Keller
The children in grades 2 and 3 were treated to a phenomenal performance by Sheryl Faye as Helen Keller. The children are in the midst of many various curriculum units connected to informational text and biographies, as well as the DASH program, which will be starting soon for both grades. This performance was stellar and the children learned about the life of Helen Keller through a reenactment of the various stages of her life. These were represented through costume changes and audio recordings. We thank TESPTO for this incredible experience and Sheryl Faye for such a realistic portrayal of such an honorable woman from American history.

The Penguin Lady
Wow! We learned a lot about penguins in grade 2. Thank you, TESPTO and the Penguin Lady for bringing tho amazing program to Steward. Why don't penguins fly? Do penguins have knees? Ask your second grader!
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
The children and staff celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America. We had community helpers come read to each class and decorated our classroom doors to build some Seuss spirit!!
