The Playground Walk-A-Thon

Thank you to all those who donated to the walk-a-thon to raise money for enhancements to our already amazing Topsfield playgrounds. The event was a huge success!

Second Graders Have GRIT!

Personification in Poetry

Mrs. Ford and Mr. Kilham's classes joined forces to create poems brining their own Jack-O-Lanterns to life! They conducted a mini-lesson and guided practice and the children (all of them) were so engaged in this process.

Third Grade Student Council

We had a wonderful time at our first student council meeting! We had our facilitators call the meeting to order, repeated Rotary's Four Way Test and started some major projects. The children got to choose whether they wanted to take on the role of actor, writer, activist, public speaker or artist. We then started our magic and are off to do amazing things!

Tipi Dan

Again, one of our favorite presentations at Steward, Tipi Dan and Cathy visited us today. They are experts on Native American culture by bringing real life experience of building a Tipi and details about the culture and history. The third graders did an amazing job!

A Snapshot of Differentation

When walking around after lunch in grades K and 1, I was amazed at the amount of small group and partner work/play that was going on! Everyone was getting what they needed. Mrs. Casagrande had her students in suspense introducing their math centers for the day!

Dr. O Visits Mrs. Jordan's Class

Dr. Jack O'Mara, a professor at Endicott and the supervisor for our five amazing student teachers, shared his experience as a published author of a novel. He talked about visualization and the power of words to create pictures in our minds.
